A Second Chance at a Fairy Tale Romance

Updated: Sep 10, 2023

What if the perfect woman was under your nose the whole time, but you were too blinded by lust with others to see it? How do you fix it? Can you fix it before it's too late? This is unapologetic semi-angsty fluff with an HEA.

Alec didn’t deserve a second chance. He knew that even as he stood in the shadows of the door to their study, preparing to beg her to grant him one. Nidia’d already given him a hundred before he’d begun to understand what his actions were doing to her. Before he’d realized that the woman he had thought he wanted couldn’t possibly compare with the one he’d married. And he knew that had his wife been anyone other than who she was, then publicity be damned, she would have left him long ago.

But she hadn’t. As her sorrow had grown, she’d made a quiet retreat from the friendly relationship that they’d managed to forge since their union four years ago. One that Alec had resented, believing in his heart that he’d already met the woman he was meant to spend his life with. He’d acted out in foolishness, making it clear to Nidia that theirs was a marriage only in the public’s eye.
